9 pm: Islaja
Islaja is one and the same with Finnish musician, composer, and artist Merja Kokkonen. She lives and works in Berlin. Her music is characterized by her unique style of singing and is often described as “impossible to classify”. Equally unpredictable are her ravishing live performances where the audience is as likely to hear Finnish folk melodies or toy instruments as they are deep synth bass lines or shamanic drumming. Her sixth album “Tarrantulla” was released by SvartRecords (Finland) in December of 2017.
10 pm: CHRIS IMLER
Chris Imler played in the legendary Berlin band Golden Showers at the end of the nineties. This was followed by tours and recording sessions in the United States. Since then he has been involved in numerous projects and bands including Peaches, Puppetmastaz, Spankings, Taylor Savy and Soffy O. Together with Patric Catani he started the project Driver & Driver. He is a permanent band member of Die Türen and Oum Shatt. For a number of years Chris Imler has worked on parallel solo projects in which he brings drums and vocals together with electronic music. He tours regularly throughout Europe.
11 pm: MARK REEDER / MFS Berlin
Mark Reeder is a musician and record producer from Manchester living in Berlin since 1978. Today, he is not only a highly sought-after producer, DJ and remixer, but also as a lecturer or speaker, due to his valuable first-hand experience as a record producer and label manager and his understanding of the Berlin music scene in both East and West-Berlin during the 1980s and 90s, continuing up to the present day.
In 2015, he starred as the main protagonist in the documentary film about his life in cold war Berlin B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West-Berlin. Made up from original film footage from the era, it’s a film about West-Berlin as seen through Reeder’s eyes and shows his life in the music scene during the 1980s.
1 am: WESTBAM
Westbam has done everything. Westbam was a punk. He was a DJ, back when people associated the term with someone who plays hits at parties. He became one of the formative protagonists of the techno music revolution. Westbam was one of the founders of the Loveparade and Mayday, and he formed the still influential record label Low Spirit with his brother. If you include his early years as a punk in Münster – this man has been making music for 40 years. His curiosity, the search for openness in music, and his boundless energy have never left him. This has become more clear than ever on his now eleventh Westbam album “The Risky Sets”.

The exhibition re-space – Take back the Space attempts to draw an arc back and trace history, to present the current situation, and to develop visions of our artistic freedom in the future. It is about a backlash that the plurality of our scene has come to, as well as the fundamental questions of the possibility and necessity of the autonomy of art and how it is displayed in the city today.
